May 29, 2026                     JIM SORENSON

Jim Sorenson, age 83, passed away on May 10, 2026, in Canton, Georgia. He lived in Tara Woods for several years and enjoyed bowling, golfing, ham radio, and following stock car and NASCAR racing.

May 4, 2026           JOE BURZA

Joe Burza, age 78, passed away at home on Friday, May 1, 2026. Joe and his wife, Becky, were married for 56 years and became part of the Tara Woods family in 2014 as snowbirds, later settling here full‑time in 2016.

Joe proudly served as a Veteran and spent nine years working the midnight shift as a gate guard in Tara Woods, where many of us came to know his steady presence. In earlier years, he enjoyed spending time at the pool and connecting with neighbors.

Bob Jenkins is facing a rare form of stomach cancer and is now under Hospice care at home. He will be celebrating his 82nd birthday on June 1. Mary Ellen Gold is currently in Cape Coral Hospital after undergoing emergency back surgery on Wednesday, May 6, 2026. She will be moving to rehab once she is discharged. In April 2023, Donna Sealey was diagnosed with Gullian-Barré Syndrome (GBS).
